Who doesn't know McDonalds? It is the world's largest chain of fast-food restaurants, primarily selling hamburgers, chicken, french fries, milkshakes and soft drinks. Check out several parts of a McDonald's Factory in Moscow, and understand what effort goes into their hamburgers. From the buns and beef to how they processed everything in the factory.

It's no wonder McDonalds' food tastes so trerrible. I always knew it was made in a factory.

McDonalds makes me want to eat my own feces. But, who hasn't from time to time, no?

i wonder if mcdonalds makes their employees eat mcdonalds for lunch

Almost all food is made or at least finished in a factory. It's called mass production. Look it up.

I work at McDonalds and I stand behind the quality of the food we serve. You may knock it but chances are you've eaten there recently. And what is wrong about these pictures? They just show the immaculate attention to detail... throwing away buns that aren't perfect, not many companies do that.

well think of it this way...Russia has a different system than the US..so we cant tell if this is the same everywhere, neh? because it is different they also only took shots of a few places but not the whole factory...if its clean and whatnot and the same as every other fast food industry whats there to hide by not letting photos in every place inside?

This factory doesn't disgust me. I think it looks alright here.
What bothers me is the preparation in the restaurants. I know not all of them are bad places to eat at, but I know some friends who have worked at McD's and picked up food of the floor and cooked it. You never know which resaurants have "good" employees or "bad" ones.
Has anybody seen "Super Size Me"? It shows what good McD's can do, if you eat too much of it.

Unless you grow and cook your own food, you're probably eating something that was in dirtier conditions than anything in this factory.
Ironically, places like McDonalds probably have less contaminated food than small mom & pop restaurants because of the repercussions that McD will face if they're caught with their pants down.

McD! FTW!!

My problem is not how the food is prepared, it's how the food is raised. Genetically modified mad cow patties: delicious.

This is actually very good. All of this is called, in some form or another, configuration management. Aside from where the actual beef, flour, oils, etc. used in production, the ingredients are put together using standards provided by the parent company. This ensures, as much as possible, that an apple pie in Moscow should taste pretty damn close to one bought in Idaho. Take Coca Cola for example. They don't all taste alike because they use substituted ingredients that are cost effective for them. Depending on the region the Coke is produced, they may be using cane sugar, corn syrup, or even beet sugar. You can actually taste the difference in Coke depending where it was produced. Mass production with standards provides lower operating costs, consistent quality, and safer conditions for both employees and consumers. There are, I'm sure, many more benefits.

I agree with the positive posts here - this actually isn't bad in terms of food production. However, the factories (bar one issue which I'll get to) aren't my gripe with McDonalds, but the following is:-
1. Sourcing of food. Just where does the meat from that burger come from? Don't know? Neither do I.
2. Service. I have never received anything more than mediocre service at McDonalds. Sure, the obvious argument here is "what do you expect?" but that's not the point. It's food. It sustains your life, and every part of it should be enjoyable.
3. Wastage. This is the one part of the factories I don't like: the amount of food which will be wasted due to the corporate ideal that everything should look identical.
4. Health. I put this one last as it's been done to death. I've eaten at McDonalds, and worse, but McDonalds is one of the largest companies in the world, but all it ever does for customers who want to look after themselves are the occasional half hearted gestures.

McDonald's Food Is Greasy & Disgusting. but It Is no Suprise That There Food Is Like This. Just look At The Factories. Probably Un-Hygenic. Excues Any Spelling Mistakes.

I strongly feel the mcd corp is extremely sanitary and cautious.. if you check the facts they do use 100% grade A beef that gets checked every 6 months from the fda. and cmon who else is that consistent... I see if you are health consious then eat a salad.. if not then enjoy a greasy burger that tastes great.. its just a choice.. your choice.. don't bash an industry just because it has done well enough to be the world leader of the food industry..that has to stand for somthing ..right?

I think that it's pretty dumb how McDonalds makes their food sound healthy in the commercials. This doesn't look healthy to me. Go onto google and type in McDonals food factory and watch the first video you see. It disgusts me to see how they treat these cows.
