Joey Chestnut sets world record by eating 103 hamburgers in eight minutes
Californian Joey Chestnut- the hot dog eating champion took home $10,000 (£4,800) prize after he guzzled 103 hamburgers in just eight minutes to set a new record and win the Krystal Square Off IV World Hamburger Eating Championship.

The 23-year-old surpassed the previous world record of 97 Krystals held by Japan's Takeru Kobayashi, set at last year's Krystal Square Off. His amazing feat was compared to Roger Bannisterbreaking the four-minute mile barrier.

Brad Wahl, vice president of marketing for The Krystal Company, said: 'We never thought we'd see someone anywhere near, let alone past the century mark when we started the Krystal Square Off in 2004.

'But like when Roger Bannister broke the four-minute mile barrier more than 50 years ago, Joey Chestnut has set a new benchmark today for all moving forward.'

Sex Ban On Airbus A380

Sex Ban On The A380
The Airbus A380 may have the world’s first airborne double bed, but it won’t be put to the obvious use if Singapore Airlines has its way: “If couples used our double beds to engage in inappropriate activity, we would politely ask them to desist,” said the company’s Stephen Forshaw. “There are things that are acceptable on an aircraft and things that aren’t, and the rules for behaviour in our double beds are the same ones that apply throughout the aircraft.”

Pictured are Tony and Julie Elwood from Perth, Australia had booked the first A380 double suite but had no chance to break the rules as they were constantly by journalists knocking on their door.

Face to face with the Cadbury's drumzilla

11:23 PM by mr. simplicity · 0 comments

He's the world's most famous gorilla, playing the drums to an audience of millions in the Cadbury ad. But how's it done? With 27 radio-controlled motors, a three man team and countless hand-tied yak hairs.

Face to face with the Cadbury's drumzilla
There is something utterly compelling about the 90-second Cadbury's commercial which first aired two months ago and features the beast in private rapture as he drums along to Phil Collins's In The Air Tonight. And the result has been a quite astonishing success. So far, the advert has received six million hits from viewers on the internet.

Viewers have been left both gripped and bewildered by the joyful ape, which is life-like down to the flaring nostrils and the curling lips. Many believe a real animal was trained to work the pedals and the sticks.

The gripping performance is performed by American actor Garon Michael, a primate specialist who has starred as a great ape in the films Congo, Instinct and the recent Planet Of The Apes remake.

Perhaps the real star, though, is the hairy suit itself, which has featured in numerous films and countless commercials around the world.

Face to face with the Cadbury's drumzilla
The suit was created by the Stan Winston Studios in Van Nuys, California, a company whose designers have previously created hightech lifesize characters for films such as Batman Returns, Aliens and Jurassic Park - for which they won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects. You can check the commercial out below:

Electric guitar worth €2,500,000
This electric guitar is worth €2,500,000 (US $3,598,002) because it’s made of pure cocaine. A 30-something guy flew from Costa Rica to Fiumicino airport in Rome with a guitar (a black Squier Strat, with the label still on the scratch plate) and 10 thermos flasks in his luggage.

The custom officials spotted white powder leaking out of the guitar that was tested positive for cocaine. Even the thermos flasks contained cocaine in solution. The so-called music enthusiast was carrying a total of 3 kg of pure cocaine, having a market value of more than 2.5 million Euros.

Batter Blaster for instant pancakes!

Batter Blaster for instant pancakes! With Batter Blaster, you no longer need to mess your kitchen with flour, eggs and mixer. Similar in concept to whipped cream or cheese whiz, the compressed gas pushes the prepared batter out like the whipped cream, allowing cooks running late to make as many pancakes they want, as large as they want.

Once sprayed into the pan, wait until cake rises and bubbles before you turn them. And there you get yourself a faster breakfast from Batter Blaster!

Ice Cream Ramen
This dishes are based on their season and if you missed them, you might want to try their Coffee Ramen (a.k.a. kohii gyunyu ramen). Other items on the menu include white ramen (yogurt), red ramen (tomato), natto ramen, milk ramen, hot cocoa ramen, pork kimchi ramen, and other crazy combinations.

What is Ramen?

Aya Tsukioka, 29, a Japanese fashion designer, has come up with a new skirt as a disguise to make the wearer look like a Coca Cola vending machine for helping the women who fear of crime.

Tsukioka says the vending machine shirt will help women to hide behind it to outfox a potential attacker if she walks alone.

The experimental clothes designer says this idea was inspired by a trick used by Japanese ninja assassins, who cloaked themselves in black blankets so they couldn't be seen at night.

Aya Tsukioka has already sold 20 of the £400 hand-sewn vending machine skirts and it hoping to market the design worldwide.

A Tour Inside The New Airbus A380

9:53 PM by mr. simplicity · 0 comments

An Airbus A380 plane is currently in Singapore to allow the Changi Airport to run through various operational procedures such as safety, passenger embarkation and disembarkation, and even catering.

The A380, which is a double-deck, four-engined airliner, can seat up to 555 passengers and is the largest passenger airliner in the world.

To date, Airbus has received 154 orders and commitments from 15customers. For Singapore Airlines, which already has an order for 10 A380s and has an option to buy six more of the planes, it will be the first airline in the world to fly the new A380.

The Singapore national carrier is now preparing for the first commercial flight of the new plane, from Singapore to Sydney and return, which will take place in October 2007.

The airline has announced that all proceeds from the sale of tickets on the first flight will be donated to charities.

The actual date of the flight will be announced soon, after final notification from Airbus about the delivery date this coming October.
